is given an Honor Award for Design Excellence for its design of the marina at the Community Rowing Boathouse in Boston, MA.

January, 2010:
- Child Engineering Corporation
has been awarded an indefinite quantity contract in support of ocean engineering activities, including: underwater inspection, topside inspection, design of repairs, and design of new facilities for the U.S. Coast Guard.
July, 2009:
- Childs Engineering Corporation
has been selected to perform the structural inspections for the US Navy’s
Waterfront Facilities on Fleet Activities Yokosuka and Sasebo in Japan.
- Fan Pier Phase I nearscompletion. Childs has provided design, permitting and construction review to
The Fallon Company on the first phase of the marine facilities for this
3,000,000 square foot mixed use development.

June, 2009:
- Child Engineering Corporation
attended the marine renewable energy conference, Energy Ocean 2009 in Rockport,
ME and continues to play a role in the development of marine renewable energy
in North America.
- Childs
Engineering Corporation is pleased to announce that Charlie Roberts, PE has
recently been named a registered Professional Engineer in civil engineering in
the State of New Hampshire.
January, 2009:
- Childs Engineering President, David Porter, gave a presentation to the BSCES Waterways Technical
Group at a dinner meeting explaining the benefits of using Engineer Divers for
underwater inspection. He outlined various inspection techniques and identified
the most common defects found. At the dinner the founder of Childs
Engineering, Kenny Childs, was honored by COPRI with a new award set up in his
memory. The first award was made to his family at the dinner.
